Clara E. (Grossenbacher) Machamer, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday morning September 7, 2012 in the comfort of her daughter's home. She was born January 20, 1920 in Lowell, Ohio to the late Bessie (Taylor) and Charles Grossenbacher. Clara moved to Hartville at the age of 16 to work in the muck fields for Brenckle Farms, where she met her husband of 65 years, Chester H. Machamer. Clara was one of the original farmers of the Hartville Swamps, and previous owner of the Machamer's Produce Market. She was also a former employee of Monarch Rubber Company. Preceded in death by her husband Chester and daughter Jean; Clara is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann Southerland- Reynolds and Dick Reynolds of Hartville, Penny Woods and Larry Woods of Redding, CA; sister Marge Taylor; brothers George Grossenbacher and Charles Grossenbacher. She also leaves behind the generations she adored 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Monday September 10th at 11:00 AM at Mount Peace Cemetery in Hartville with Dean Miller officiating. Arnold 330-877-9364
