Cindy Roberts (Nee Proctor) After fighting the good fight against cancer, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, Cindy Roberts (Nee Roberts) age 53 left us to join in Heaven her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Cindy lived her life in the greater Akron area. She was a graduate of East High School and attended the University of Akron. She was a member of The Chapel where she greeted many on Sunday mornings with a smile at the Green Campus. She served her community as a member of the Lake Local Board of Education. Many have remarked of Cindys love of learning. She was forever excited about knowing more about politics, relationships, history and the Bible. She was a faithful Bible Study Fellowship student for most of her adult life. Cindys affable personality, strong work ethic and gritty stick-to-itiveness served her well as she worked for Goodyear Aerospace and later Loral, the Ohio Christian Education Association, and of late, for Springfield Township. Her intelligence and sensibility marked the decisions she made and the accomplishments she shared. Preceded in death by her father, Glenn "Red" Proctor, Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Samuel, her son, Kevin, her mother, Jean Proctor, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Tammy Proctor, and a host of family and friends. Calling hours are Thursday October 21st from 5-8 PM and Friday Oct. 22nd an hour prior to services from 10-11 AM all in The Chapel, Green Campus, 1800 Raber Rd. in Green, OH 44685. Services begin Friday at 11 AM at the church with Pastor Mike Castelli officiating.
