Cindy Lee (Cates) Congeni DO, age 51, of Canton, passed away on Monday November 7, 2016. She was born in Mansfield on February 3, 1965 and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1983, Ashland University in 1987, then Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. She was a devoted mother of three and a passionate anesthesiologist practicing for 20 years in Canton. She loved her work, music, cooking and was a fun loving vibrant personality who will be missed.

She is survived by her husband Jeff, daughter Sophia, twin sons Leo and Max; mother Sophia Cates-Goldsmith and friend Hank Mason; brother Virgil Cates; parents-in-law Leo and Audrey Congeni; siblings-in-law Jennifer (Jay) Marcie and Leo (Jane) Congeni; nieces and nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by father Virgil Cates Sr. and grandparents Virgil and Geraldine Cates and Herman and Louise Hollon.

Calling hours are Friday 5-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 9 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Robert Kahlor celebrant.
