IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christina R.
Neidert
May 5, 1963 – December 28, 2025
Christina R. Neidert, 62, lifelong resident of Hartville, passed away peacefully at her home on December 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 5, 1963 in Castro Valley, California to Chris and Margaret (Stephens) Schlabach.
She was a 1981 graduate of Lake High School where she was very active, playing basketball, baton twirling and a skilled member of the band.
She was a devoted member of Springfield Assembly in Akron and was a dedicated employee of Giant Eagle in Hartville for 35+ years.
She married Frederick "Fred" Neidert on May 22, 1982 and they shared 43 loving years together. One of their favorite trips they took together often was to the Smokey Mountains, eventually turning it into family trips with everyone where countless memories were made.
Christina had several titles in life, including wife and mom, but her favorite title of all was "GaGa" lovingly named by her two grandchildren who were the lights of her life.
One thing Christina made sure of was to never miss a sporting event for her children or grandchildren. She was always there cheering them on as their #1 fan.
Her unconditional support and love for her family will always be remembered.
She was also an amazing dog mom to her fur babies, Nyra, Pixie and Alfie who were faithfully by her side to the very end.
Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with her children and more recently her grandchildren, always excited to hear about their time at vacation bible school, knowing her love of God had been passed down to them.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Fred Neidert; her dad, Chris Schlabach; her children Josh Neidert, Tara (Ryan Richards) Neidert, and Aaron (Joy) Neidert; her treasured grandchildren, Harbour and Barrett; siblings Cal (Chery) Schlabach, Darcy (Gina) Schlabach and Tawnya (Paul) Wells; and sister-in-law Rita Schlabach.
Christina was preceded in death by her mom, Margaret Schlabach and brothers Rick Schlabach and Cris Schlabach.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 6th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Springfield Assembly, 1551 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312.
Funeral services will be held at the church at 12 p.m. and burial will follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville.
