Chloe A. Shapiro, age 89, of Canton, passed away on Friday morning March 1, 2013. She was born in Canton on March 11, 1923 to the late John and Helen (Anthony) Johnson. She graduated from Lehman High School in 1941. She was a member of Temple Israel where she worked as the Administrator. She served on the board of Temple Israel Sisterhood and she was past president of Jackson Township A.A.R.P. Preceded in death by her husband Irving Shapiro in 1994; sisters Venetia Starkey, Helen Peterson, Janet Rowlee and Beverly Rombach. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Scott and Elizabeth Shapiro of Avon Lake; daughter and son-in-law Jill and Milt Manos of Canton; grandchildren Gabriel and Sophie Shapiro, Amy, Marsha and Aaron Manos. Funeral services are Tuesday 11:00 AM at Temple Israel with Rabbi John Spitzer. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery.
