Chester M. Miller, age 88, of Canton, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 29, 2010 in McKinley Health Care Center. He was born November 8, 1921 in Canton to Max and Rae (Dreyer) Miller and was a lifetime resident of Canton. He was a member of Temple Israel and had been an active member of the Canton Jewish Community Center. Chester was a 1939 graduate of Lehman High School, attended Ohio State University and served in the United States Coast Guard during WW II. He is survived by a daughter, Alice (Richard) Eck of Temperance, Michigan; sons, Alan (Leslie) Miller of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Miller of Houston, Texas; brother, Larry (Rita) Miller of Canton; grandchildren, Laura, Chris, Julie, Rick, Alexandra, Samantha, Rachel, Ryan and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Hudak. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. in North Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Leah Herz officiating.
