Chester S. Mason, age 87, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Chet was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Josephine Maciejewski; brother, Marion Machefski; sisters, Josephine Volk, Helen Sucheck and Virginia Kramer. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Beverly. Between Chet and Beverly they had seven children: Chet Jr., Chris, Cindy (John) May, Art (Laura) Ford, John Ford, Ed (Lisa) Ford, and Kim (Randy) Blankenship; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 12 noon Saturday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
