Cheryl Denise Bowers, 81, of Hartville, passed away on January 19, 2026, at The Homestead at Gentlebrook. She was born on June 9, 1944, in Akron, Ohio to the late Denton and Aileene Snodgrass.

She was a graduate and valedictorian of South High School in Akron and was active in planning class reunions which she loved to do.

After graduation, Cheryl started working for Goodyear where she dedicated 30 years as an executive secretary for the president of Goodyear.

Cheryl was also a skilled seamstress and studied fashion at Kent State University. Sewing was always a passion of hers throughout her life.

She was a very classy lady who loved classic cars, dressing up and accessorizing with the best shoes and hats. She enjoyed spending time with her "Tea Party" friends where they all dressed their best.

She adored her pets, treating them as cherished family members.

Cheryl loved travelling to her condo in Florida which she did for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charlie Bowers; her devoted friend, Fred; and many close friends and relatives.

Cheryl is survived by her brothers-in-law Paul and Dawn Bowers and John and Joyce Bowers; many nieces and nephews, many special friends especially Pauline.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 23rd from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. A celebration of her life will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Butch Nisly officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery-Uniontown where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Charlie.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at The Homestead of Gentlebrook for their care and love to Cheryl these last two years.
