Charles Thomas West, age 89, of Canton, passed away Saturday morning in Bethany Nursing Home. Born in Dover, Ohio to the late Lester & Mae (Roloff) West. Charles was employed for the City of Canton and Stark County in the sign & post department. He was a member of the Church of the Lakes; enjoyed woodworking, gardening and photography. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; Marjorie West, nieces and nephews, Carolyn (Ron) Alexander, Beverly (Glenn) Morckel, Alan (Chris) Jones, Carolyn (Bob) Cordray, Tonya (Kent) Jones and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Rev. Brian George officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
