IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles
Prettyman
February 20, 1930 – August 27, 2009
Charles F. Prettyman, 79, passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2009. He was born in Akron, OH. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 7 for over 54 years, and he served in the U.S. Army Honor Guard in Washington D.C. In later years, he became a member of the Uniontown Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he served as an Elder. He was truly a gifted bricklayer, and enjoyed telling jokes. His greatest honor was telling people the truth about God's Word. Charles is survived by his wife of 35 years, Della; his children, Cheryl, Susan, June, Chuck, Jane, Aleta, Wade, Daniel and Amy, as well as his sisters, Grace and Mary Lou and brother Jimmy. He also leaves his 18 grandchildren, as well as his step daughter, Myrna, his "adopted son", Joe and his cat Tommy. He was respected and loved by his family, his congregation, and many, many friends and colleagues. The family would like to thank Dr. Don Zimmerman, as well as the staff of Hospice of Stark County for their excellent care and support. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, corner of Mayfair & Wise Road in Green, at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Stark County or Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
