Charles E. Kidd, age 76, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 16, 2008. He was born in Ward, WV on March 17, 1932 to the late Alex and Hazel (Harper) Kidd. An Army Korean War Veteran, Charles had worked for Teledyne Monarch Rubber Co. for 35 years. While at Teledyne, he also worked at the cemetery in Hartville and mowed grass for people. During retirement he stayed busy as a school crossing guard, delivery and custodial man for Pastore's Cleaners, and mowed grass for people. He surrounded his life with family and friends, always putting them first. He had a heart of gold. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, H. Virginia Kidd; twin sons Jeffrey Kidd and Jerry Kidd; daughter and son-in-law, M. Gail and Rodney Oliver; adored granddaughters Amanda, Lisa, Joyce and Rachel; sisters Thelma Brammer of WV, Annabell Ingram of MO; sister-in-law, Katie Kidd of OK. Preceded in death by daughter Grace Frizzell in 2001. Calling hours are Friday 6-8 PM in Arnold Funeral Home and one hour prior to church services Saturday 10-11 AM.
