Charles Tepsic, Jr., age 82, of North Canton, died at Aultman Hospital on July 18, 2025. He was born in Salem, Ohio, on July 20, 1942, to the late Charles and Ann (Vosovic) Tepsic. He was also preceded in death by his brother George Tepsic. He grew up in Summitville, Ohio, and was graduated from Salineville High School in 1960. He attended Youngstown College before enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served much of his enlistment in Germany. He was able to travel to many parts of Europe when on leave while serving there and loved telling stories of the adventures that he had. He even got to meet his Grandfather Tepsic who traveled from the United States and together they traveled to Yugoslavia where they visited the village of Tepsic.
After the military, he graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Palm Beach in West Palm Beach, Florida, and was an accountant for his entire career, working at B.F.Goodrich, Ford Motor, and retiring from the U.S. Department of Defense, having worked at offices in Cleveland and Akron. He was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church where he also enjoyed volunteering doing lawncare. He was a member of the National Association of Accountants and the Ohio High School Athletic Association. He refereed youth and high school football games for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia (Bonar) Tepsic, three children, daughter Victoria Duval, sons Brian, and Peter; five grandchildren, Emily Howell, Brianna (Joshua) Shearer, Kaylie, Christa, and Jonathan Tepsic; four great-grandchildren, Audrey, Addelyn, EmerLeigh, and Samson, and one niece Tiffany (Brian) Smith.
Services will be held at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church on Wednesday, July 23, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to St. George Church or the American Diabetes Association.
