Chad M. Cercone, 34, of Canton, Ohio passed away February 3, 2010 after a long courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Dover, Ohio on December 20, 1975 he graduated from Tuscarawas Central Catholic, Kent State University majoring in electrical engineering, and currently employed by M.K. Morse as a group leader. Chad was an avid Pittsburg Steelers and Penn State football fan. He enjoyed life to the fullest and never let this roadblock get in his way. He was a hard worker and loved his job. Chad was someone you could always count on and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a funny guy and those around him often enjoyed his off-color humor. Preceded in death by his Nana, Twila "Jean" Cercone. Chadly is survived by the Love of his Life, wife Star who made his life complete and the "girls" Ophelia and Lily who always made him smile. He was a devoted, loving father to Emilee Cercone of Minerva, Ohio. Also survived by mother Cathy Conner of Jacksonville, FL, father Tom Conner, grandfather Albert Cercone, brothers Chris (Rachelle) Conner, and Nick (Sami) Conner all of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Loving in-laws who welcomed him into their family Debbie (Terry) Neal, Wes (Deb) Withrow, Papa and Tutu Caudill, Tara Withrow, and Sky "Scooter" Withrow, best friend Geoff (Shawnda) Downing, cousin Gabriel Taylor, aunts; Pamela (Jim) May, Barbara Cercone, Donna (David) Furbay, and other numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Chad's family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Schmotzer, the nurses, and medical staff of Aultman 6 South for all of their hard work and compassionate care to Chad during his journey. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, Ohio with Father Ed Keck officiating, interment in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society 23297 Commerce Park, Cleveland, OH 44122.
