Obituary

Cecil A. Miller, age 87, of Canton passed away January 8th in Mercy Medical Center after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Cecil was born in Canton to the late Alvin & Martha (Klatter) Miller. Cecil is survived by Frances, his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, his loving and devoted daughter Karen, and his loving family pet Mindy. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews located throughout the country. Cecil was a member of Carpenter's Local #69 for 55 years since October 15, 1956 and was a commercial and residential builder. When his parents were living, he assisted them in Miller's Berry Farm. His favorite past times were horseback riding, antiquing at flea markets, taking day trips, hiking, and repairing anything that was broken. He gladly responded helping people in their time of need. His family is so proud of his strong will and determination to take care of them. He was a talented, creative, strong willed, determined and caring man who made us all a stronger person for knowing him. His family is proud of how stoic he lived his life and will miss him and love him very very much. In addition to his parents Cecil was preceded in death by a sister: Delores Clyde and a brother: George Miller. A private memorial service and burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
