Cathy Green

Cathy Ann Green, age 77, passed away on January 30, 2026. A lifelong resident of North Canton, Ohio, Cathy devoted her life to family and caring for others. Her loving heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Born the eldest of six children to the late Richard and Betty Green, Cathy embraced her role with strength and compassion. She was also preceded in death by all her grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins; her brother, David Green of California (2024); and her first niece, Heather (Green) Johnson (2018).

Cathy’s life was rich with creativity. She loved painting, drawing, writing poetry and songs, and playing guitar. She shared these gifts generously—especially through the bright, cheerful murals she painted in local nurseries and daycares, bringing joy and wonder to the children who spent their days there. Her heart for service was evident in her many years volunteering in children’s nurseries and daycare centers. Cathy had a special gift for caring for little ones and was always there to support working mothers by watching their children, offering patience, kindness, and a comforting presence.

Cathy is survived by her two brothers, Daniel (Pam) Green and Thomas O. Green; her three sisters, Maureen (Green) Stevens and Colleen (Green) Glasscock , Joyce (David)Green ; her aunts Shirley Chipps and Carol Flood; her uncle Frank Flood; many cousins; her nieces Michele, Melissa, Jennifer, and Sarah; and her nephews Adam, Daniel, Joshua, and Jonathan. She is also survived by her beloved great‑nieces and great‑nephews: Victoria, Isabella, Kyleigh, Peightyn, Amyah, Esme, Kaia, Marlowe, Zephyr, and Jacen.

Cathy knew Jesus as her Savior, and her family finds comfort knowing she is now healed, whole, and resting safely in His presence.

The family will be having a celebration of life for Cathy in the springtime with date, time and place to be determined later. Cathy’s interment will be at North Lawn Cemetery, Canton OH also in the springtime 2026 date & time to be determined.
