Cathryn Cronick, born October 12, 1916 to John and Anna Anushock and died May 8, 2007. She attended Kenmore High School, Hamill Business School and adult night classes at Akron University. She was secretary to now defunct Perfection Spring Company in Akron, OH until her marriage to Ambert Cronick on October 25, 1941. She then devoted herself as a wife and mother to sons, Richard and Donald and as a volunteer worker in her church and community. She was one of the original volunteers of the United Way and as a member of Bath Women's Association she helped establish a library, which had been served only by bookmobile until then. In 1961 she and her husband purchased Saunders Cartage, Inc. in Canton, OH and once again she entered into the business world where she was a secretary-treasurer until retirement in 1982. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Business Women's Association, past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Local and Short Haul Carriers of The American Trucking Association, and Shady Hollow Country Club. After the sale of Saunders Cartage to Dayton Freight Lines in 1988 she and Mr. Cronick made their permanent residence in Naples, Fl. Besides her husband of fifty-four years, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Paul and John Anushock, sister Ruby Diane (Mrs. John) Badida and son Richard David Cronick. Survived by son and daughter-in-law Donald Lee and Susan Kay Cronick of Canton, OH., grandchildren Carrie Ann (Mrs. Daniel) Grimes and Donald Lee Cronick Jr. of Canton, OH., Laura Lynn Cronick of Phoenix, AZ., sisters Ann (Mrs. Peter) Kurchev of Barberton, OH., Susan (Mrs. Charles) Sturgill of Clinton, OH, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Akron, OH. There are no calling hours and the service is private.
