Catherine E. Zernechel, age 103, of Canton died Saturday morning in the House of Loreto. Born in Canton to the late Charles & Amelia (Volzer) Feldheimer she was retired from the Stark County Clerk of Courts. A member of First Church of the Resurrection, she was past officer and a long time member of Canton Afternoon Garden Club, having received many awards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Zernechel in 1968. Survivors include two sons: Albert R. (Carole) Zernechel, and Gary L. (Pam) Zernechel. Grandchildren: Scott (Jill) & Mike (Mercedes) Zernechel, Angela (Brian) Conrad, Brett & Miranda Zernechel. 5 Great Grandchildren: Alex, Weston, Morgan, Sydney, and Spencer. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St. W., with Rev. Dr. Bruce Mont officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
