Carroll E. "Andy" Anderson, age 90, of Uniontown, passed away Thursday afternoon September 7, 2006 in Altercare of Hartville. He was born in Akron, OH on February 22, 1916 to the late Carl C. and Icie Pearl (Hovis) Anderson. A graduate of Seiberling School, he worked then served in the Army during WW II. He met his wife Mary in the Army, she preceded him in death July 11, 2004. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace and was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church. For retirement Andy and Mary moved to Lakeland, FL from 1980-2002, then they returned to Ohio to be close to family. Andy enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, but most of all he loved NASCAR. He was an avid short wave HAM radio operator. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Jim Joseph of Uniontown; son and girlfriend Carroll Anderson of Munroe Falls, OH and Diane Lomb of Monroeville, PA; grandchildren, Tony and Julie Barbuto of Jackson Township, Mike and Theresa Barbuto of Canton and Stephen Anderson of Boston, MA; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicolas Barbuto and Kyle and Jacob Barbuto; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Galen Bailey of Canton; other family members of Akron and PA. He was preceded in death by brother, Robert Anderson of Stow. Receiving of family and friends will be Sunday 4-7 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville. A memorial service will be held Monday 10 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating and a committal service with military honors will follow in Rittman.
