IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Caroline Pierson
Jackson
August 28, 1928 – June 26, 2006
Carole Jackson born August 28, 1928 in Detroit, MI went to join her daughter Marsha Sue and other loved ones on June 26, 2006. She struggled and fought a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Norman E. Jackson and her loving family: Scott and Susan Jackson and their children Christopher, Mary Scott and Kurtis; Nancy and James Simmons and their daughters Sommer and Carrie; Lisa and Shawn Wood and their daughters Stephanie Larkin and Danielle and Anna Wood: Michael and Janice Jackson and children Stephen and Briana. In addition her brothers William H. Pierson of Austin, TX and Richard G. Pierson of New Baltimore, MI and families. Carole always worked to strengthen and improve her community. In 1966 she served as President of the Junior League. In 1969 she was the founding President of the Woman's Board of Aultman Hospital. During her presidency the Angel Auction was conceived. She chaired the first Pro-Football Hall of Fame Style Show where she recruited Cleveland Browns wives as models. Carole attended Grosse Pointe High School in Grosse Point, MI and graduated in 1948 from Greenbrier Woman's College in Lewisburg, WV. She was a past member of Trinity United Church of Christ and recently had attended Rivertree Christian Church. Carole's appreciation for many things brought joy and laughter to those who shared time with her. Her grace and charm will be missed. A private family service has been planned for a future date. Carole hopes that remembrances might benefit Aultman Hospice 2821 Woodlawn Ave., N.W. Canton, OH 44708. Those who desire may sign the online guest book at: www.shriverfuneralhomes.com
