Caroline G. Holmes, age 95, of North Canton, passed away on Monday morning August 8, 2016 at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Clearfield, PA on November 4, 1920 to the late Lucius and Josephine Guernsey and was a life long resident of Canton. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1938 and attended The University of Michigan. Caroline was a member of Junior League, Visiting Nurse Society, Children's Aid Society, served on the Aultman Home Board and was a member of Line and Design Garden Club.

She was a realtor for Cutler Real Estate for 26 years.

Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Lewis Holmes in 2003; and brother Bud Guernsey.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Josephine and Bruce Bartlett of Ocala, FL, Barbara and Steve Deuble of Hartville; grandchildren Jonathan (Janell) Bartlett and Elizabeth (Charlie) Hardage; great-grandchildren Mason and Preston Bartlett and Olivia Hardage.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday at North Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church or the Tschantz, Deuble, Bagnoli Caddy Scholarship Fund c/o Stark County Community Foundation.

The family wishes to extend to the staff of Windsor Medical Center sincere appreciation and gratitude for their loving care given to Caroline.
