Carolene "Carol" Mae Bower (Carpenter), age 76, of Hartville, passed away on Sunday September 16, 2018. She was born in Canton on December 27, 1941 to Merle and Ilene (Eller) Carpenter. She was passionate about animals and loved taking trips to the farm. The only thing she may have loved more than animals was dancing and she certainly is wearing her dancing shoes now. She also always tried to help those in need despite the fact she herself was in need. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her mother Ilene; children Lisa (Robin) Kelp, Teresa Schaar, James Morgan; siblings Joann Hall, Jerry (Susie) Carpenter; grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father Merle; brothers Clifford and Merle (infant); and nephew Timothy Riffle.

Calling hours are Friday 9:30 AM- 11:00 AM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services begin at 11 AM conducted by Pastor Lennie McKinney IV. Final resting place is Greentown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
