Obituary

Carole J. Hess, age 76, of Navarre, died Saturday afternoon in Aultman Hospital after a sudden illness. Born in Canton to the late Gary and Opal (Baker) Everhart she was a very active, and long time member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was also past president of Eastern Central District of Ohio's Federated Women's Club, long time member and held many offices and chairmanships of Coterie Club of Canton including president. Carole was past vice president of Belden Village AARP, she enjoyed the fellowship and playing cards with the girls at 500 club and also her lunch bunch girls. She will be greatly missed not only by her family, but also by a host of friends who dearly loved her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Vernon Hess in 2001. Survivors include a daughter: Mrs. Mark (Cristi) Elmerick of Canton. Son: Craig (Theresa) Hess of N. Canton. Three granddaughters: Kelli (Todd) Law, Katie & Jennifer Hess. Great grandson: Sam Law. Knowing she is with the Lord and her husband gives her family great comfort. A memorial service will be Wednesday 1:00 P.M. in St. Pauls United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Kay Hall officiating. A private entombment will be in North Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: St. Paul's United Methodist Church 2705 6th St., S.W. Canton, OH 44710.
