Carol Marion Reed Weaver age 71, of Canton, died Monday morning July 13, 2009 in Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Bellevue, PA to the late Thomas R. & Elizabeth B. (Smith) Reed, Carol was a graduate of Penn State University. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Thomas R. Reed, Jr., Robert "Bud" Reed, and Bertram Reed, and a sister: Nancy Rabold Carol was a compassionate and faithful member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter CX and the Massillon Women's Club. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and playing bridge, was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed doing things for them. She is survived by her loving husband James M. Weaver of the residence. Daughter: Nancy C. Weaver and son, James T. Weaver also of the residence. 4 nieces: Barbara Claus of KY, Karen Hollinger of PA, Dianne Thomas of Ill and Marie Hardy of CA. 4 nephews: Rob, Tom & Ed Rabold all of PA and Kurt Rabold of NY, and loyal pet and companion, Buddy the Dog. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 15th at 12 noon in St. Mark's Episcopal Church with Reverend Thomas Hawkins officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: St. Marks Episcopal Church, P.E.O. Chapter CX, the American Cancer Society, the Epilepsy Foundation, or Planned Parenthood.
