Carol Pritz Kyhos, age 67, passed away Sunday evening, March 25, 2012 in Aultman Hospital following a courageous battle with Cancer. She was born January 11, 1945 in Millersburg, Ohio to Jerry and Betty (Kennedy) Pritz. Carol graduated from Jackson High School in 1963 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from DePauw University in 1967 where she was also a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She began her teaching career at Plain Local Schools, the vast majority of her teaching was at Washington High School in Massillon in the Learning Disability program, retiring in 2010. Mrs. Kyhos was a devoted and active member of Church of the Lakes where she was in the choir, bell choir and gave of her time in numerous activities. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Wayne; sons, Stephen W. Kyhos of Canton, Michael L. ( Nicole) Kyhos of Orlando, Florida; sister, Judy Thurber of Greenhurst, New York, Chris (Jeff) Mullin of Swepsonville, North Carolina; brother, Kurt(Connie)Pritz of New Albany, Ohio; grandchildren, Libby, Zach and Sydney Kyhos of Orlando, Florida. Carol was loved by all. She was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Grant Pritz in 1971. The Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Church on Friday with Pastor Bryan George officiating.
