Carol Bateman, age 76, of Hartville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday December 30, 2021. She was born in Canton on May 23, 1945 to the late Carl and Lois (Hosick) Weisel. She went to business school after high school. She worked at Monarch Rubber Company, babysat and cleaned banks. Carol loved her dogs and called them her "Kids."

Preceded in death by her husband James "Jimbo"; sister Shirley Weisel Lavy; and brother Roger Weisel. She is survived by sister-in-law Edna Mae Weisel; many nieces and nephews including her favorites Jim and Tom Lavy.

A memorial service will be Tuesday January 4th, 1:30 PM at Hartville Church of the Brethren with Pastor Anthony DiMarco officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
