Carl R. "Doc" Stimmel, age 89, of Hartville, passed away on Sunday November 24, 2013 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Paris, Ohio on November 2, 1924 to the late W. G. and Esther Stimmel. He was a WW II Navy Veteran, a Mason and member of the American Legion. Carl loved his family and enjoyed bowling and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, daughter Karen Domer and brother Edgar. He is survived by children Ginny and Dave Varner of Hartville, Brian and Barbara Stimmel of Cleveland; grandchildren Kolby Greer of Canton, Heidi (Dan) Dillon, Jason (Sherrie) Varner all of Hartville, Jenna (Matt) Hammerton of Arizona; great-grandchildren Kaylor and Payci Greer, Jordan, Jacob, Justice and Kyler Dillon, Nathan, Alania and Avery Varner, Aiden Hammerton; and brother Howard Stimmel of North Carolina. Calling hours are Wednesday 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Wednesday 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
