Carl L. Myers, age 89, of Canton, went to join the Lord on the 18th of May, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Klingaman) Myers. They were married October 1, 1943 at St. John the Baptist Church, celebrating 66 years of marriage. Survived by his four children; Michael (Kathy) Myers of Georgia, Bruce (Jane) Myers of Arizona, Suzanne (Rick) Roman and Dennis (JoAnne) Myers of Ohio. Grandchildren; Brian Myers, Rachel (Roger) Tipton, Stacey (Phil) Goldie, Ryan and Sarah Roman and Melissa and Nicole Myers. Great-grandchildren; Kylie and Cade Myers, Henry and Jack Tipton and Caitlin Goldie. Brother; Ralph Myers of California, Sisters; Frances Merritt of Canada, Elsie Luttrell of Georgia and Mildred Myers of Ohio. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his parents Melvil and Mabel Myers, brother; Walter Myers and sister; Florence O'Connor. After graduating Timken High School, Carl worked for the Timken Company and Ohio Battery Company until he was called to serve in the U.S. Army during WWII (1943-1946). Carl worked as a salesman for several auto parts stores for over 40 years before his retirement. His love of cars became his hobby. He enjoyed seeing and reading about antique cars. Funeral service will be Saturday, 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday 9:30 to 11:00 A.M.
