Carl D. "Butch" McLaughlin, age 80 of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016, in St. Joseph Senior Living Center. He was born November 16, 1935, in Carrollton, Ohio to Earl and Ada (Hendrix) McLaughlin. Butch was retail store manager at Clarkins, Topps and Zayre stores before working at Ford Motor Company in Canton. In the mid 1970's he also owned Earls Café in downtown Canton. He retired from Ford in 1992 and moved to The Villages in Florida.

Mr. McLaughlin played football at Carrollton High School, was an avid bowler and fan of all sports.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Marcia McLaughlin of North Canton, Steven and Dena McLaughlin of Medina; grandchildren, Shawn McLaughlin, Matthew (Blair) McLaughlin, Ashley (Mike) Iafrate, Taylor (Joseph) Cooper, Morgan McLaughlin and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Chris Allen McLaughlin in 2009.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be Saturday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Deacon Ron Reolfi officiating.
