Calvin E. Beitzel, Jr., age 84, of Canton, passed away Wednesday morning at his home. Born in Dover, Ohio to the late Calvin E. and Margaret (Eicherly) Beitzel. Calvin was a Veteran serving a total of 37years in the U.S. Army during WWII in Korea and then retiring from the Army National Guard where he was a mechanic. Memberships included Canton VFW Post 693 and Louisville VFW Post 7490. In addition to his parents Calvin was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. He will be missed by his loving wife, Barbara of 59 years; and his loving children Keith Beitzel, Mark Beitzel and Holly (Terry) Stewart. 3 grandchildren; Brian, Daniel and Erin also survive. A memorial services will be Monday, 1 p.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Rev. Robert P. Sander officiating. Friends may call from 11-1 p.m. A private burial will be held for the family in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army 420 Market Ave. S.
