The Rev. C. David Morgan, age 67 of Canton, passed away August 1, 2018, following a short illness. He was born May 15, 1951 in Beaumont, Texas, to T.G. Morgan and Cecil (Hill) Morgan.

David graduated from Lamar University and received a master of divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

As a Presbyterian minister, he served in Michigan as a student intern at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church and as the Pastor of Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church in Saginaw. David retired after 24 years as the Sr. Pastor at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Canton, OH.

He was honorably retired from Muskingum Valley Presbytery having chaired and served on various committees. David spent countless hours and used his abundant energy volunteering for local causes he was passionate about. His quick-wit and dry sense of humor will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara (Frietchen) Morgan. Other relatives include his sister, Celia Morgan of Houston, Texas, 2 nephews, 3 great-nieces, 1 great-great niece and 3 great-great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Carolyn Morris and nephew, Charles Morris—all of Texas.

Calling hours will be Friday August 10, 2018, 4-7:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton. A memorial service will be Saturday August 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church located in the Northminster Presbyterian Church at 237 West Maple St., North Canton, OH 44720. A light luncheon will follow.
