Bryan Dewain Brewer, age 55, of Canton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2026. A man of quiet strength and profound skill, Bryan’s life was defined by a legacy of service, a love for his family, and a meticulous eye for the beauty in small things.
Born in Chillicothe and raised in Vinton County, Ohio, Bryan graduated from Vinton County High School before answering the call to serve. He dedicated 22 years to the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. His career took him across the globe, including eight deployments where he served as a vital link in supply convoys and vehicle maintenance. His resilience and expertise were recently featured in Salute Magazine, highlighting his transition from a decorated serviceman to a respected civilian diesel technician at Hill International.
Beyond his professional life, Bryan was a true artisan. He found peace and purpose in the patient arts of bonsai tree care, woodworking, and miniature modeling. Whether he was casting a line while fishing or carefully shaping a branch, he valued the quiet moments of creation.
Bryan was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Tracy Dawn Brewer. Together, they shared a large and loving family. He is survived by their children, Bryan William Brewer, Christopher Brewer (Kristi Hill), Vincent Brewer, Riley Hernandez (Andrew), Halle Bolender (Victor Logan Olivete Silva), and Quincy Bolender (Wesley Matacia). He was a proud Grandpa to his grandchildren Liam, Kalyanna, Daemon, Francesca, and Jodie.
He was a treasured son-in-law to Linda Walker and the late Terry Walker, and a dear brother-in-law to Coty (Shonda) Walker, Jodie (Elma) Walker, and Timothy Walker. He was a fun-loving uncle who deeply loved his many nieces and nephews.
Bryan is also survived by his mother, Ella Dunlap, and his siblings, Deena Faulkner and Wes Dunlap. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Brewer, and his brother, Ron Brewer.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 22, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Arnold Funeral Home (1517 Market Ave N, Canton, OH). A military service honoring his years of dedication to our country will follow at 6:00 pm. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bryan’s memory to Wishes Can Happen, a Northeast Ohio organization dedicated to bringing joy to children
