Bonnie L. Myers age 59 of New Baltimore formerly of Canton passed away Thursday June 12, 2008 at Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on May 16, 1949 in Canton to the late Edward H. and Dorothy (Slesnick) Schlote, received her BS from Kent State University, Master's from Akron University, and was working on her P.H.D. from Kent State University. A career teacher, Bonnie has been a professor at several universities over the years. Preceded in death by brother Atty. Lawrence Richard Schlote; she is survived by her husband Glenn Oldroyd; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Steve Papell of Strongsville; nieces and nephew, Leslie and Ron Crete, Jeanne and Chris Sweazy, Dan and Kim Papell; great nieces and nephew, Devon Crete, Madison and Gabriel Papell; step son Eric (Ruth) Oldroyd, step-daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Dennis; and step-grandchildren Laura, Sean, Shelby and Kevin; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday 11 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home Canton with Rabbi John Spitzer officiating. Final resting place is Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
