Blake A. Cochran, age 90, of Canton, passed away Thursday afternoon November 12, 2009 in Aultman Hospital. He was born April 4, 1919 in Akron to Michael and Susan (Harkleroad) Cochran and was a lifetime resident of Canton. Blake was a Plant Guard at the Timken Company for 35 years, retiring in 1981 and was a member of Perry Christian Church. Mr. Cochran loved traveling with his wife and was an accomplished wood worker. He helped build his own home 61 years ago and lovingly cared for it ever since. Blake is survived by his wife Mildred, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage on September 16, 2009. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home with Pastor Rod Geiger officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
