Dr. Beverly J. Swallen, age 83, of Canton, died Saturday evening in The Pines Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born in Jamestown, NY she had resided here since 1951. Dr. Swallen was a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in 1947 and retired from private practice. Preceded in death by an infant son, she is survived by a daughter: Gayle Rueschman of Canton, son: Todd (Ruth) Swallen of Wooster, OH. grandson: Jason Rueschman. Brother: Dr. Harold Martin of New Castle, PA and a niece: Mrs. Russell (Nancy) Rainey of MI. A private service will be on Wednesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Chaplain Robert Grow officiating. Private interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
