Elizabeth (Betty) Winkler, age 93, of Hartville, passed away Thursday July 20, 2017. She was born in Canton on November 21, 1923 to the late William and Pearl Markle. She graduated from Canton South in 1942 and married John Winkler 1946. She retired from Teledyne Monarch after 17 years of service. She enjoyed bowling leagues, trips to Vegas and Atlantic City and continued her love of slots on her IPad. She loved to read and especially loved her family.

Preceded in death by her husband John in 1980; daughter Patty in 1965; granddaughter Dana in 1997; 3 sisters Pearl, Madeline and Betty Jane and one brother Bill.

She is survived by her sons David (Patty Wise) Francisco, John (Connie) Winkler, Mike (Debbie) Winkler; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday 10 AM at the Chapel at Sunset Hills Burial Park. A gathering follows at John and Connie's. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to honor Betty's memory with a donation to the charity of your choice.
