Betty J. Slack, age 90, of Canton, died Saturday morning in Aultman Hospital. A life resident of Canton Betty was a PBX Operator and Cashier for Kobacker's Department Store for 25 years, worked at Stern & Manns for six years and had also worked at the Parisian. She was a member of Westbrook Park United Methodist Church, Christian Volunteers Sunday School Class, Life Member of V.F.W. Aux #3747 and was a former member of the McKinley Eagle Aux # 2370. In addition to her parents Edward and Minnie (Eschliman) Dehn she was preceded in death by her husband: Harold E. Slack in 1972 and four sisters: Gladys Peeples, Margaret Kennedy, Carolyn Yoder, and Virginia Rechkemmer. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. John (Patricia) Alexander of Minerva, and Carolyn Taylor of Canton. Three grandchildren. Great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 1:30 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. John Mather officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 1:30 P.M.
