Betty M. Schmucker, age 91, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 4, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 2, 1931 in Hartville to the late Eli and Maggie (Troyer) Miller. She married Robert J. Schmucker June 2, 1948. She was an active member of Beech Mennonite Church where she enjoyed the sewing group. She was a housekeeper for years and upon retirement enjoyed watching her grandchildren and their activities.

Preceded in death by husband Robert; daughter Deborah Nichols; daughter-in-law Barbara Schmucker; 2 grandsons William Schmucker and Robert Weiser; great-granddaughter Hollie Montgomery; and 9 siblings.

She is survived by her children Anna Marie (Ralph) Oliver, Robert Schmucker, John Schmucker, Ronald (Julie) Schmucker, Donald Schmucker, Maggie Pendleton, Rose (Terry) Rentz; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters Emma Miller, Mary Ellen Mullet and Sarah (Albert) Wagler.

Calling hours are Friday 4-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Harville. Funeral services are Saturday 11 AM (final viewing 10-11 AM) at Beech Mennonite Church with Pastor Matt Reed officiating. Final resting place is Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
