Betty Ann Moreland Hushour "Bette," age 85, of the Inn at Belden Village went to be with her Heavenly Father, Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born July 27, 1931 to the late Roy V. and Helen (Seitz) Moreland, she was a life resident of Canton. Betty was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School and chairperson of her class reunions. She was known in the art community, having taken art classes from Barbara Haas, Betty Elliott, Kent State Stark and participated in many art showings. Betty had been employed by Polymer Plastics and previously by GMAC. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ron in 2016; her mother, Helen in 1934; father, Roy in 1975; stepmother Alma in 1992; brother, Dale Moreland of Salem, Ohio in 2002 and step-sister, Jean Brodell. Betty is survived by her loving sons, Jeffrey of Louisville and Randall (Mary Beth) of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Jessi K. (Zac) Hushour Martin of Louisville and Tyler J. Hushour of Cuyahoga Falls; great-granddaughter, Peyton; great-grandsons, Dillon and Logan. Betty was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, an avid ice skater, loved tennis, and her aerobics class. She had a love of animals, art, music, sports and gardening. Betty and Ron spent many winters in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Friday in Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Andrew Taylor Peck officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 10 to 12:30 p.m. in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
