Obituary

Betty A. Louden, age 100, died at Canton Christian Home on Wednesday, July 20th after a long illness. Mrs. Louden, a WWII Navy Veteran, was passionate about her country and a big advocate for our military veterans and volunteered on countless committees. She was a long-standing member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames. Survivors include her son R. Scott and daughter-in-law Tricia Louden. Three daughters and sons-in-law: Bonnie and Donald Alexander, Susan and Thomas Henson, Cynthia and Michael Hirsch. Grandchildren: Raymond and Mark Burroughs, Matthew and Kyle Henson, Sean, Alec and Carlye Hirsch, Stuart Louden and Doug Wright. Great grandchildren: Noah, Lance and Jacob Burroughs, Gavin Hirsch, Camryn and Weston Louden, Corbin Wright, Hurley Henson and Skylar Wisnieski.

A private memorial service for the family and staff will be held at the chapel at Canton Christian Home, 2550 Cleveland Ave. NW on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10:00am. For those attending please enter at the North (main) entrance and sign in at the front desk. Masks are required throughout the facility. Private services will be held with inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Please sign the tribute page.
