Betty J. (Lewis) Hursh, age 87, of Canton passed away on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center after a short illness. She was born January 12, 1929 in Malvern, Ohio to the late Bryan and Nellie (Harsh) Lewis.

Betty was a member for over 50 years of Crossroads United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years William D. Hursh Sr., son William D. Hursh Jr; two brothers Wayne and Ray Lewis; she is survived by her daughter Jane E. Hursh; daughter-in-law Vicki Hursh; two grandchildren Heather L. (Matt) Novak and Bryan W. (Casandra) Hursh; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Eileen (Dale) Cogan; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Saturday 10-11 AM and funeral services begin at 11 AM all at the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton, Jane Fleischer will officiate. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital or Aultman Compassionate Care Center. The family thanks Aultman Hospice and Compassionate Care Center for great care of their mother and grandmother.
