Betty L. Gash, age 85, of Canton, passed away Wednesday night in Astoria Health Center. She was born June 14, 1926 in Bergholz, Ohio to Millard and Mildred (Scarry) Jenkins and has been a lifetime resident of Canton. Betty was a 1944 McKinley High School graduate and worked in the housekeeping department of McKinley Health Care Center for 23 years. Betty also enjoyed bowling through out her life and bowled in leagues with her husband and other family members. Her greatest love and devotion was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson in 1980 and a son Wilson Gash Jr. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Morris Goley Jr. of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Daryle and Vicky Gash of Canton; sister, Delores Miller of Canton; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Rev C. David Morgan officiating.
