Obituary

Betty J. DiBattista, age 80 of N. Canton died unexpectedly Thursday morning. Born in Sandyville, OH to the late George & Mary (McNeely) Shepherd she was raised in Louisville graduated form Louisville High School, and was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ. A former employee of Sear's, and Isally's she retired from Haidet's IGA. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Anthony DiBattista in 2007 and 2 sisters Ruth Wallace & Marjorie Frease. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law: Vicki & Joseph Scott of Plain Township. Son: Anthony DiBattista of N. Canton. Four grandchildren and significant others: Robert Elson & wife Joni of N. Canton; Gina Skolmutch & friend James Westfall of Canton; Ryan Elson & wife Amy of Canton & April DiBattista of FL. Five great grandchildren: Andrew Skolmutch, Ian, Chase, Kariane & MacCaden Elson. Two brothers: Glenn (Gail) Shepherd of NC, George (Gloria) Shepherd of Louisville, OH & Brother-In-Law: Bob Wallace. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday September 9, 2009 in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. Cathy Arble officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the American Heart Assoc. 4916 Hills & Dales Rd N.W.
