Betty J. Bergdorf, age 73, a resident of Hartville for 43 years went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 26, 2006 surrounded by her loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruth (Chambers) James and 2 brothers Wilford and Edward James. Survived by her husband of 54 years Raymond G. Bergdorf and 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Mark Estep of Hartville, Lois and John Holsopple of Alliance, 1 brother and sister-in-law Richard and Anita James of Cuyahoga Falls, 2 sisters-in-law, Agnes "Susie" James of Norton, Nancy James of Peninsula, 3 grandchildren Paul and Lynne Bozman of North Canton, James and Jennifer Bozman of Kentucky, Edward Bozman of Allaince, 1 great-granddaughter Mackenzie Bozman and numerous nephews and nieces. Betty was a devoted wife and mother to her children and always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She worked for Kelly Girl for several years before working full time at Lake High School and Malone College. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. A member of the Greentown United Methodist Church, for many years she sang in the choir and helped at the church suppers. Calling hours are Thursday 6-9 PM and one hour prior to services Friday 10-11 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Dave Andrews officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
