Bette Jane Albers Wakefield, Bette Wakefield went to her Heavenly Rest May 8th. She was a 1939 graduate of McKinley High School and lifelong resident of Canton but did, however, consider Maine her second home. Bette was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elwood (Wake); son, Kit Walter; and all her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Kathie; "adopted" daughter, Angela Stockwell of Maine; and "granddaughter," Stephanie Alhassani (husband, Nich) of Ashtabula. Daughter, Kathie would like to invite family and friends to celebrate her mother's life with fellowship and food on June 2, 2018 at 11 AM at Crossroad's United Methodist Church, 120 Cleveland Ave., SW, Canton. Kathie would like you to come with pictures, stories and memories to share with everyone. Bette was always smiling, and her daughter hopes her smile will shine through with this celebration.
