Bessie-Marie Ida Brumma Brown, age 93 of Massillon, passed away Thursday afternoon in Aultman Hospital. She was born May 28, 1928 in Canton to Fred and Valerie (Huberty) Brumma. Bessie graduated from Timken High School in 1947 and worked as a cashier at A & D Foodarama. She was a past member of First Christian Church where she sang in the adult choir, worked in the nursery and was a member of the Kum-Join-Us class. She was an active member of Perry Christian Church and member of their friendship class.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jack Brown, in 2013. She is survived by sons Dennis (Sandy) Brown of Canton, Steven (Cynthia) Brown of Akron, Bill (Teresa) Brown of Massillon, Gary (Sherie) Brown of Canton, Larry (Jaimie) Brown of Massillon; grandchildren Christine Olson, Kenneth Rohr, Michael and Douglas Brown, Kaylene Williams, Kyle Brown, Betsy Brown, Tessa Dalessandro, Shanon Bouscher-Burrows, Jeromy, Joshua and Jacob Martin, Peter and Jeffrey Brown, Devin, Brookelynne and Pryce Brown, numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandson; brothers William (Carol) Brumma of Xenia and Jerry (Yvonne) Brumma of Canton. She is also preceded in death by daughter Jean Marie Rohr and daughter-in-law, Kathryn Elizabeth Brown.

Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Ave N., Canton. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Perry Christian Church with Pastor Rod Geiger and Dr. Michael Brown officiating. Additional calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at the church 10-11 a.m.

Final resting place is Brookfield Cemetery. Memorial donations are requested to Perry Christian Church.
