Bernice A. Schumacher, age 91, of Hartville, passed away on Sunday May 24, 2015 at Windsor Medical Center in North Canton. She was born May 9, 1924 in Canton, Ohio to the late Florence V. (Kurtz) and William Albert Anstine. A lifetime area resident, she was a graduate of Hartville High School. A member of the Hartville Church of the Brethren, Bernice was a lifetime member of Culver Mother's Association, Former Treasurer of Congress Lake Garden Club and former member of Congress Lake Club Golf Association. Preceded in death by her husband William H. Schumacher with whom she celebrated 71 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law William C. and Kay of Hartville, Frederick H. and Sandra of North Canton and John F. of Sarasota, FL; sisters Dorothy Frances of Ft. Wayne, IN and Shirley Brubaker of Elgin, IL; grandchildren Amy and Tim Hoover, Kurt Schumacher, Anne and Brian Livingston, Cy Schumacher, Mark and Kristen Schumacher; great-grandchildren Emerson, Will and Ted Hoover, Ellie and Jack Livingston, Madigan and Kaitlyn Schumacher. A Private Funeral Service will be held for the immediate family at Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville with Chaplain David Parry officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
