Bernard Rossow, age 81 of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon July 11, 2012 in his residence surrounded by his family and closest friends. He was born November 3, 1930 in Chicago to Harry and Aurelia (Bruce) Rosssow and moved to Canton with his wife and children in 1969. Bernard retired from the Lake School System in 1988. He was past member of Firestone Road Baptist Church and Cross Pointe Church. He taught Tiny Tots at those churches and volunteered in the Bus Ministry too. Bernard enjoyed gardening, caring for his home and being with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Nancy; daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and Dennis Proper of Canton, Diane Russell of Jackson Township, Nancy and Tom Bailey of Louisville; son Charles Rex of Tucson, Arizona; sister Arlene Maselskis of Lamont, Illinois; brother Bob Rossow of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren Autumn Russell, Justin Bailey, Marcy Rex; great grandson Garrett Woolbert-Bailey; dear friend Henry Frazier and many other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by sisters Mary, Delores and Louise; brothers Ray, Red and Harold and grandchildren David and Jordan. Calling hours are Saturday 11:00 to 1:00p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home in Canton. The Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Charles Rex officiating.
