Barbara Jean Schloeder, age 79, of Canton, passed away Friday morning September 5, 2008 after a short illness. She was born in Philippi, West Virginia on September 4, 1929 to the late Ellis and Dovie Lee Kennedy. Barb was a person who put others first, especially her family. She looked forward to vacations and outings with friends and family. She was an active member in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Preceded in death by her husband of 33 years LeRoy; brothers James, Harry and Stewart; sisters Shirley Mayle and Arminthea Kennedy. She is greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her daughter and son-in-law Eldora and Anthony Lavdas of Brunswick; grandsons Peter and Anthony; brother Roger (Vicky) Kennedy of WV; sisters Judy (Howard) Newman, Vicky (Wayne) Hinton, and Virginia Mayle all of Canton; sisters-in-law Mary Cline of Canton and Florence Cline of CA; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
