Obituary
Barbara June Porter, age 81, of Canton, passed away Wednesday morning. Barbara was born in Canton to the late Robert and Phyllis (Coulter) Mann. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Benjamin Campbell; son, Mike Porter and great-great granddaughter, Taveah. Barbara was a kind, loving, caring wife of 63 years to Chester Porter; children, Judy (Mike) Longwell, Candy (Robin) Bond, Chester ( Martha) Porter, II, Bill (Kathy) Porter, Phyllis Porter; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and a second mother to Jeremy Porter. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Rev. Bill Parsons officiating. Friends may call 11-1 on Monday. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Please sign the guest book.
