Barbara Anne Holliday, age 85, of North Canton, passed away Saturday morning. She was born January 29, 1932 in Canton to the late Anthony and Stephanie (Stanczak) Golembeski. Barbara was a 1950 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and of Akron City Hospital School of Nursing. She made her career in nursing and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton. Barbara had an infectious laugh, enjoyed shopping, dancing the polka and had a general love for music. She held her dog Ginger close to her heart. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Bucky" Holliday, two infant brothers; sisters, Gay Harmon, Helen Syler, Nellie Bast, Bernice Golembeski, Mary Kuhns; brother, Arthur Golembeski; grandson, Kyle Anthony Lathrop; daughter-in-law, Deborah Holliday and step-daughter Diane Holliday. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Holliday; daughter, Janice Kay (James) Lathrop; step son, David (Janice) Holliday; grandchildren, Tommy Moore,Tanner Lathrop, Tracy Holliday; great grandchildren, Hanna, Laylo and KJ Lathrop; many nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Pat Harmon who took wonderful care of Barbara. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Catholic Church, North Canton with Fr. Marian Babjak as celebrant. The procession will form at the church.
